Painted Drum Ceremony

We would like to announce that a Painted Drum Ceremony will be held on Jan 20/18, in Ma-Me-O Beach, Alberta.  Venue will be the Ma-Me-O Beach Rec Center.

This Ceremony is a gathering of warriors, a healing ceremony.  It is in this ceremony that we take out and dance (honor) Creator’s Holy tools, and those who have been selected and hold seats in the lodge, will honor their seats by taking care of the community, in the traditional way.

Respective hereditary Kings, Kenneth Roan, Edwin Frencheater, and Jimmy O’Chiese are expected to be in attendance, for the purpose of conducting the ceremony, as well as to pass on some of their knowledge, and wisdom, to those in attendance.

We welcome all to attend to witness this ceremony, and have some community leaders from around Alberta who have indicated their intention to attend.

The Technical Stuff

Something I could have not have achieved, without great frustration and wasted undue effort, is the ability to get ourselves our own domain on this, the internet.

Thanks and credit are due to my brother, Darryn Rose, current resident in the state of Colorado, USA.  It was with his help (and a great suggestion or two from his wife, Nina Rivera Rose) and assistance, that our website is now our own.

Collectively, we thank you for your support, Darryn and Nina.

On the path

Since resolving our issues with the M/C, we pressed forward, ordered our new colors, and began down the road of planning where this would lead us.

One place it did lead us, is to the formation of this website.  Efforts will be made to post the history of our CRG, as it unfolds.

Trusted family is providing the support to get this website up and running.  Credit will be provided when we go online.

In order to maintain good relations and ensure our existence without conflict, the new design was forwarded to the M/C, to re-introduce ourselves under our new look.  It was suggested that we take it down to a one piece, which has been achieved.  We also shared concern, that with the original three piece design, that it could potentially convey the wrong message about what and who we are.

One piece redesign has been produced for our (Ken’s) approval

AAAAAA

A notable error in the colors specified existed, but the basic format was viewed as acceptable, between ourselves.  After a little feedback to the worker, and a little more input provided by Ken, the final design was born.

April 2017

3 of us were out, heading to see the newborn grand-daughter of two members.  At a fuel stop, prior to our arrival at our destination, we were approached by a member of a well known M/C, who respectfully brought to our attention that we were in the territory of that M/C.

During this interaction, the M/C member provided information of educational value, to the three of us, regarding specifics of some of the “rules”, so to speak, of the M/C community at large.  Most specifically, rules that we were breaking, and pointing out some of the potentially serious consequences that could have followed.  Contact information was exchanged, for further interaction.

We continued that evening on to our destination.  After arrival there, it was decided to respectfully put our colors to the side, in light of the recent discussions.  We rode home that evening, and forward, without our colors, as it was our will and desire to resolve the issues at hand, with the M/C, in a respectful and peaceful manner.

Our discussions among ourselves, about the meeting, were that we were treated with nothing but dignity and respect from the M/C member.  As such, we began the process of a re-design of our colors, which we felt would in turn, show the M/C our return of mutual respect.

One of the biggest issues at hand, was that our colors were of a 3 piece design.  Efforts would concentrate on changing to a one piece design, while maintaining the critical elements of the design, itself.
